Lazer Technologies utilizes standard project methodologies and tools for developing and implementing software projects. We embrace the rational unified process (RUP) and agile development, because of its iterative software development process framework. RUP is not a single concrete prescriptive process, but rather an adaptable process framework, intended to be tailored by the development organizations and software project teams that select the elements of the process that are appropriate for their needs.

Lazer Technologies utilizes structured programming techniques, including top-down design and standard tools such as MS Project, MS Office Suite and standard documentation tools.

All of our projects have incorporated standard tracking tools to accurately monitor and evaluate our progress against the deliverables schedule.

Throughout our development phase, we incorporate customer walk-through and sign-off as a means of gaining acceptance before progressing to the next phase.

Projects that we have been involved with:

  • For a governmental entity, we implemented several systems on numerous platforms that contain land record information. On one occasion, we assisted in the implementation of an Internet search engine to allow land records to be researched online. This search engine allowed for a 40-year title search online, and included document retrieval.

  • We assisted a governmental entity in there effort to convert their mainframe property tax administration system to a web-based oracle application. We have been continuously providing application development and maintenance for Property Tax Administration System, Delinquent Tax Department and Delinquent Tax Search Engine.

  • We developed a Project Tracking and Payroll Application, built on Microsoft Access platform. Application features include: easy navigation between projects, easy data entry, payroll reports and project status/work reports.

  • We developed a Web-Portal for which allows new projects, payroll and mileage data to be reported from remote work sites via employees’ Smartphone.

  • We implemented a large imaging application for a large governmental entity. The application manages 25 million images with a storage size of 3 TB.
